Thanks to the great guide to build an allsky camera from Daniel Nimmervoll I decided to build my own with a Raspberry Pi 4 and a Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera.
Here is the bill of materials I used:
- Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4GB RAM
- Geekworm Raspberry Pi 4 Aluminum Case
- Raspberry Pi HQ Camera
- Omegon CS-Mount Lens 2,8-12mm f/1,4
- Acrylic Dome 5″
- Junction box 240 mm x 190 mm x 90 mm
- 3* 10W 5% Cement Resistor 18R
- Power Supply 5v 8A
- DC-DC 24V/12V To 5V 5A Step Down Power Supply Buck Converter
- Dual Display DC-DC 5-23V To 0-16.5V 3A Max Step Down Power Supply Buck Converter
- Ethernet Lan Cable Joiner
- Miscellaneous cables, wires, screws

There are 2 DC-to-DC Step Down Converters (12V to 5V) installed:
- One to power the Raspberry Pi 4 with 5V and up to 5A
- One with a variable voltage to heat up the cement resistors under the acrylic dome to prevent dew within the dome.
