
This month, I got to image two targets. The Perseids Meteor Shower and the North America Nebula.
Perseids Meteor Shower
The Perseids photos were taken on the night of August 11th with my Sony A7 III and the Sony FE 24mm F1.4 GM lense.
The camera settings for each photo were: Aperture F/1.6 at ISO-800 and an exposure time of 25 seconds.
In Photoshop from the over 650 photos that were taken only the ones that contained meteors were combined to a single image.
North America Nebula

Camera
- ZWO ASI2600MC Duo
The tracking was done by the second chip in the ASI2600MC Duo through the main scope with a RMS below 1″.

- Neodymium (Moon-& Skyglow)
Acquisition
- 2024-08-11 OSC 64x300s
- 2024-08-16 OSC 51x300s
So a total integration time of 19 hours.
Postprocessing
- WBP, SPCC, Curves, BlurXterminator, NoiseXterminator, StarXterminator in PixInsight
